Departure from mirandola

We left at 8.30 in the morning. Tears evrywhere, It is difficult to say goodbye

A wonderfull week and now on our way to Baden Baden

Wensday Morning

Today we had the powerpoint presentations we prepared.
We compared the difference inbetween countries and schools.

After that we went to the computer room.
The idea was to work on a blog type of website to put all the things together.
The only tiny problem was that part of the session the internet broke. So we are wrapping
this up a little bit later.

At the moment we are getting ready for the break.

In the afternoon we will have sport activities.
More information about it later.

Tuesday in Florence

In Florence we visit a classical museum.
We did see all the wonders of the Renaissance. Many marble scuptures and wonderfull paintings projecting the classical stories of ancient times.

The Dutch students worked in the museum on the Cultural Arts Task and the Italian had a guided tour by there teacher.

After the visit to the museum we went to the heart of the city. There was free time and the students could visit and enjoy the important buildings. After that we went back to Mirandola.

Monday at school and in the centre of Mirandola

On Monday morning we had a program in which we compared the Italian Language with the Dutch language. At the end we did a competition and our Celine did win a big price.

After that there was a little break till 2.30 and in the afternoon we visit the cultural part of the city centre of Mirandola. Old residence buildings and churches which dated back to 1527 after Christ. The Renaissance and the Baroque.

During the city walk we posed for the local news paper at the city hall.

In the city hall we visit the important rooms which explain about the impressive history of Mirandola.

After the city walk the program of the day ended and some of the students went bowling, others went home with their guest and had a great meal.

The first evening in Mirandola

At 6.15 pm we left the highway in Italy and drove through several towns to reach Mirandola at exactly 6.59 pm in the evening. Looking outside the bus we did see all the parents and students from the Italian school waiting for us. We opened the door right at 7 p.m.

Then there was the matching with the Italian students and their parents. On one side the Dutch and on the other side the Italian students.

We unloaded the suitcases from the bus and the parents of the host family took them home.

After the introduction we went to an Italian restaurant and we ate 5 different pizzas. Even the desert was a pizza with Nutella chocolate.

Sunday, on the way to Italy

Sunday 7.30 am

Everybody got there juice, coffee and bread. We left to the bus at 8 a.m. Dropped the bags off and went back to the city wall. We walked over the city wall and we did see the city wake up.

At 9.00 am we started traveling towards Munich. Some of the soccer fans in the bus where able to enjoy the Olympic stadium and we moved towards the south.

During the day we did a couple of quick stops. Sometimes just to go to the restroom. Sometime to just eat and walk around.
